I am so pissed off it's not even funny.

I was walking home with my friends and we were talking about the internet, and we got on the topic of our home pages, and when I mentioned that mine is Deviant Art ()there was this long silence and then one ofthem proceeded to say "there are alot of bad artists on that site and ony a few good ones." and then he had the nerve to list some off (and I knew some of them) and then proceeded to say that there are some really disgusting pictures. Now I'm not sure what HE was looking at but I know for a fact that there is a mature content filter on this site and it is required that when submitting a devination the artist must specify weather it contains "mature content" (and I know you too are aware of this). The other thing is if you don't like a particulr artist thats fine, but don't dwell on their art style b/c you dont like it. IT'S WHAT THEY DO! AND DON'T SAY IT'S LIKE "THE ART OF A TWO YEAR OLD!!!" BECAUSE THAT'S 1.DESTRUCTIVE (and I stress DESTRUCTIVE)CRITICIZM AND 2.NOT VERY NICE!!!

sadly I don't think they understand what deviant art is about.

1. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "GOOD" ART OR "BAD" ART. JUST SCRIBBLES ON THE PAGE

2. deviant art is a WELCOMING place for ALL artists of VARIOUS TALENTS, you don't hve to be a vangoh to be included

3. if you (in your own opinion) don't/ can't draw than you DO NOT have the Right to speak against art or others

4. there are more than just drawings on this site. Have you READ the LITERATURE?, LOOKED at the SCULPTURES?, did you EXPIERENCE the PHOTOGRAPHY? were you not DAZZLED by the JEWELRY?

R U KIDDING ME????? TALENT EVERYWHERE!!

5. every atist works hard at what they do, yes somethings might need imporvement but the artits would already be aware of that. artists are very intuative

6. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE CONSTRUCTIVE CRITISIZM NOT DECONSTRUCTIVE CRITISIM! (I cannot stress tht one enough guys)


I Deviant Art, very much. There are many talented people in this online community, and it broke my heart to hear the ignorant, unkind words from not only my friend but also a fellow musician. An artist. he out of all the people in the world should know that practice is everything, in music, drama, literature, and visual arts. You guys are good at what you do, and I love what I see DON'T STOP!


To the Deviant Art haters: IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT YOU SEE THEN DONT LOOK AT IT. GO AND DON'T YOU DARE CRITISIZE IF YOU YOURSELF HAVE NO TLENT! ROT IN HELL
